Commissions
A painting made for one particular wall.
A small number of commissions are taken each year so that each one gets proper time. If something here sounds like what you're after, start with a note.
Step 1
Conversation
We talk about the room, the light it gets, and what you want the painting to do there. No obligation on either side.
Step 2
Direction
I propose a subject, a scale, and a colour temperature, and we settle on the shape of the work together.
Step 3
Painting
The canvas is built over several weeks in the studio. I share progress at the points where your eye is genuinely useful.
Step 4
Delivery
When the painting has rested and resolved, we arrange for it to reach you.
Good to know
- Timelines run to the painting, not to a calendar — most take several weeks.
- Subjects tend to be florals, landscapes, and birds; ask about anything else.
- Scale is decided together, based on the wall the work is going to live on.
- Everything is discussed directly with the artist. There is no gallery in between.
